《本刊阿姆斯特丹專稿》在浙江省杭州市人們政府，中國駐歐盟使團和荷蘭大使館及胡志光、胡允革等著名僑領的大力支持和指導下，經過近半年積極認真的籌備，歐洲杭州聯誼總會於六月十五日在荷蘭阿姆斯特丹海上皇宮酒樓宣布正式成立，並舉行首理事會就職典禮。中國駐荷蘭大使朱祖壽先生和使館各部負責人陳小明參贊、張志峰參贊、汪銀兒主任等到會指導和參加有關的聯誼活動。杭州市委書記王國平先生和浙江省統戰部常務副部長徐長福先生親率杭州市政府高級代表團和浙江省海外聯誼會友好代表團專程前來荷蘭參加慶典，並作專題講演。來自歐洲各國的僑領和杭州僑胞代表，新華社、人民日報、中央電視臺、中國國際廣播電臺、經濟日報、光明日報等駐歐盟媒體以及星島日報、歐洲時報、鳳凰衛視記者共３００餘人參加慶典活動。大會由總會副會長陳惠榮先生主持。在總會祕書長林斌先生宣讀總會章程和組織名單後，首屆會長胡玉梅女士發表了就職講話。她首要回顧了籌備的過程後指出，今天我們以邁入21世紀，世界正在經歷著深刻的變革，歐洲杭州聯誼總會正是在經濟全球化不斷深入，科技進步日新月異，知識產業發展迅速，產業結構不斷調整的大環境、大氣候中應運而生的。時代的進步和更新，給總會的工作帶來勃勃生機和活力，也給當前的工作注入新的内容，提出新的要求，構築新的思路。我們認爲，總會的工作只有將僑情和商情互相結合，把聯誼與經貿交融在一起，才能富有創新的精神和發展的新理念，才能符合市場經濟的發展規律，才能開拓總會工作的新局面。整個大會安排有序，簡樸隆重、氣氛熱烈、充分體現了歐洲杭州聯誼總會團結向上的勃勃生機。大會先後受到全國政協、國務院僑辦、致公黨中央、全國僑聯、杭州市人民政府等部委、省市政府機關、商貿機構和群衆團體的賀信賀電130餘封。 Blending the Sentiments of Overseas Chinese and TradeMixing Fraternity and Commerce Association of Hangzhouese in Europe Founded in Holland <Special report of this magazine from Amsterdam> With the strong support and guidance of the Municipal People’s Government of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Pro- vince,Chinese diplomatic mission to the European Union,Chinese Embassy in Holland, and famous leaders of Chinese overseas including Hu Zhiguang and Hu Yunge, the Association of Hangzhouese in Europe was formally founded on June 15 at Waterside Royal Restaurant in Amsterdam, Holland after nearly half year of conscientious preparations. The ceremony of the inauguration of the first council of the associa- tion was held at the same time. Mr. Zhu Zushou, Chinese Ambassador to Holland, and heads of various departments of the embassy including Councilor Chen Xiaoming, Councilor Zhang Zhifeng and Director Wang Yin’er were present at the fraternity activities and gave their guidance. Mr. Wang Guoping, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Hangzhou, and Mr. Xu Changfu, Exe- cutive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of Zhejiang Province, led a high-ranking delegation of the Municipal Government of Hangzhou and a friendship delegation of Zhejiang Provincial Overseas Fraternity Association to make a special trip to Holland to participate in the celebration and delivered speeches. Over 300 people took part in the celebration, including leaders of overseas Chinese in various countries in Europe and representatives of overseas compatriots of Hangzhou origin. Present were also reporters from the media stationed in European Union such as the Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, CCTV, China International Broad- casting Station, Economic Daily and Guangming Daily, and reporters from Shintao Daily, European Times and Phoenix Satellite TV. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Chen Huirong, Vice President of the Association. After Mr. Lin Bin, Secretary General of the Association, read out the constitution of the association and the name-list of organizations, Ms. Hu Yumei, the First President of the Association, made an inaugural speech. She first recalled the process of the preparations of the association. Then, she pointed out that now we have entered the 21^st century and the world is experiencing profound changes. The Association of Hangzhouese in Europe has come into existence at the historical moment in the overall environment where economic globalization is constantly going in depth, scientific and technological advances are made day by day, knowledge industry is developing rapidly and industrial structure is under uninterrupted adjustment. 		of the times have brought vitality to the work of the association. They would also inject new contents, put forward new demands and bring about new thinking to our work. We believe, only by blending the sentiments of overseas Chinese and trade and mixing fraternity and commerce that we can step up pioneering spirit and enrich the new idea of development, and that we will be able to open up a new prospect for the work of the association. The meeting was arranged in an orderly manner, simple but grand and lively, and fully embodied the unity and vitality of the Association of Hangzhouese in Europe. The meeting received more than 130 congratulatory letters and telegrams from units including the National Committee of CPPCC, the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs under the State Council, the Central Committee of Chinese Zhi Gong Dang, All-China Federation of Returned Chinese Overseas and the Municipal People’s Government of Hangzhou, as well as from provincial and municipal government bodies, commercial bodies and mass organizations.
